How we build and check our tools

Palz Tools is made by Palz Tools, a small team in India. These are the rules every tool on this site follows.

Your files stay with you

Most tools run entirely in your browser: PDFs, photos, audio and numbers are processed on your own device and never uploaded. Each of those tool pages says so. A few heavier tools, such as AI dubbing, run on our server instead; there, every job works in its own temporary folder, which is deleted after processing.

Facts are checked against the source

Tax slabs, interest rules, photo sizes, exchange-rate sources and similar facts are checked on the official or primary source before a page goes live, and the source and date are recorded with the code. Pages that have been through this show a "Last reviewed" date. Rules change, so we re-check them; money and health results are estimates, not advice.

Tested before release

The calculations and file handling behind the tools have automated tests, which run on every change. Each new tool is also tried in a real browser, on desktop and phone sizes, with real files, before it's published. When a tool can't do something, such as reading a scanned PDF, it says so instead of producing a wrong result.

Built on open-source software

We use well-known open-source libraries with permissive licences, such as pdf.js and pdf-lib for PDFs, TensorFlow.js and UpscalerJS for AI upscaling, and fflate for ZIP and Office files. We check each licence before using it.

AI help

Some code and text on this site is drafted with the help of AI. Every calculation is covered by tests and every stated fact is checked against its source before publishing, in the same way as anything else we write.

Ads and money

The free tools are paid for by advertising and by our paid services. Ads are always labelled, are never placed inside a tool or right next to its buttons, and never change a tool's results. In the AI tools directory, affiliate links are tagged as sponsored for search engines, and tools can't pay to be listed or ranked; see how we list AI tools.

Corrections

If you find a wrong number, an outdated rule or a bug, please tell us. We fix confirmed errors and update the page's review date.
