Passport Photo Maker

Crop your photo to passport size and print several copies on one 4×6 photo.

How to make a passport photo

  1. Take a photo facing the camera against a plain, light wall, with even light and no shadows.
  2. Choose the photo and pick the size: 35 × 45 mm, 2 × 2 inch or 25 × 35 mm.
  3. Use Zoom and Move up/down until your face sits inside the dashed oval.
  4. Download a single photo for online forms, or a 4 × 6 inch print sheet.

Sizes and print sheets

Photos are made at 300 DPI, the usual print resolution. A 35 × 45 mm photo is 413 × 531 pixels, and a 4 × 6 inch sheet (the standard photo print size) holds 6 of them with cutting gaps. A 2 × 2 inch photo is 602 × 602 pixels, 2 per sheet; a 25 × 35 mm stamp size is 295 × 413 pixels, 12 per sheet. Print the sheet at 100% ("actual size") at any photo shop or kiosk, and cut along the thin grey lines.

Getting it accepted

  • Most rules ask for the head to fill about 70–80% of the photo height, a neutral expression, eyes open and no glasses glare.
  • The fill colour only covers empty edges if you zoom out; it doesn't replace your background, so start with a plain wall.
  • Rules differ by country and by application. Always check the official photo guidelines for the form you're filling.

For an online form that asks for exact pixels and a KB limit, you can also use the Image resizer with its passport preset.

Frequently asked questions

How many photos fit on one print?

Six 35×45 mm photos fit on a 4×6 inch (102×152 mm) sheet with cutting gaps.

Does this remove the background?

No. It fills empty edges with the colour you choose. Use a plain wall, or our AI background remover when it is available.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. It is processed in your browser.

How do I print the sheet?

Save the 4×6 print sheet and print it as a normal 4×6 inch (10×15 cm) photo at 100% size, without 'fit to page'. Then cut along the grey lines.
