How to merge videos
- Choose two or more videos (add more at any time). Move them up or down to set the order.
- Choose the shape (the first video's, or 16:9, 9:16, 4:5 or 1:1) and how clips of another shape are fitted.
- Press Merge, watch the joined video and download the MP4.
How the clips are matched
Joined clips must share one picture size, frame rate and sound format, so each clip is decoded and redrawn. The size is the first clip's (made at most 1080 pixels on its short side) or the shape you choose. The frame rate is the highest of the clips, rounded and kept between 24 and 60 frames a second. The sound is resampled to 48 kHz stereo and encoded as AAC at 160 kbit/s.
Example
Three clips: 15 seconds of 1920×1080 at 30 fps, 20 seconds of 1280×720 at 30 fps, and 10 seconds of vertical 1080×1920 at 60 fps. The merged video is 0:45.0 long, 1920×1080 at 60 fps; the 720p clip is scaled up to fill the frame and the vertical clip sits between black bars (or a blurred copy). At Balanced quality the picture gets 5.6 Mbit/s, so the file is about 31.20 MB.
Tips
- Cut each clip to the part you want first with Trim video.
- Making a vertical video for Reels or Shorts? Choose 9:16 with a blurred background.
- Joined file too big to send? Compress it to a size limit.
