Turn PNG screenshots, graphics and photos into JPG files that every app and upload form accepts, with your choice of quality.
How to convert PNG to JPG
- Choose a PNG, or several (up to 50).
- Set the quality (90% to start). If the picture has transparent areas, pick the colour that fills them.
- Click Convert image and download the JPG, or all of them as a ZIP.
The JPG keeps the picture's size in pixels and its name: screenshot.jpg from screenshot.png.
Why convert PNG to JPG
- Smaller files for photos saved as PNG, so they fit email limits and load faster.
- Upload forms on job, exam and government sites often accept only JPG.
- Printing services and older apps that don't take PNG.
Keep the PNG when you need transparency (logos on coloured pages) or crisp text and lines.
Example: a logo with a soft, see-through edge
A red edge pixel (229, 57, 53) at 50% opacity has no place in a JPG, so it is laid over the fill colour. Over white it becomes (242, 156, 154), a light red that blends smoothly into the white background. Over a dark blue fill (30, 64, 175) the same pixel becomes (130, 60, 114). Pick the fill that matches where the picture will be shown and the edges stay clean.

Frequently asked questions
Is JPG smaller than PNG?
For photos, almost always: JPG is made for them and drops detail you hardly see. For screenshots, text and flat logos, a JPG can come out about the same size and show faint smudges around sharp edges, so PNG may be the better file there.
What happens to a transparent background?
JPG can't store transparency, so see-through areas are filled with a colour. White is the default; you can pick black or any colour to match the page or document the picture goes on. Half-transparent edges are blended with that colour, so they stay smooth.
How do I convert JPEG to JPG?
JPEG and JPG are the same format; only the extension differs, and most apps accept both. Renaming the file is enough. If a form insists on .jpg, choose the .jpeg file here and download it: photo.jpeg is saved as photo.jpg.
Which quality should I choose?
90% is a good default: it looks the same as the original for normal viewing. Go down to 70–80% for smaller files to email or upload. For an exact size limit in KB, convert here, then use the Next step button to open the image compressor.
Can I convert several PNGs at once?
Yes, up to 50 in one go. They all get the same quality and fill colour, and you can download each JPG or all of them in one ZIP.
Is it safe for private screenshots?
Yes. The images are converted inside your browser and are not uploaded to any server.
