SBI PO & Clerk Photo Resizer

Make the four files the SBI PO and Junior Associates (Clerk) forms ask for: photo, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration, each at the pixel size and KB range in SBI's 2026-27 advertisements. Nothing is uploaded.

Rules as per the SBI PO Advertisement No. CRPD/PO/2026-27/09 dated 18 June 2026; check the latest notice before you apply. Open the official notice ↗

A recent passport-style colour photo against a light-coloured, preferably white, background.

Signature

140 × 60 px (preferred) · 10–20 KB · JPG / JPEG

Your own signature on white paper with a black ink pen, not in capital letters.

Left thumb impression

240 × 240 px (preferred) · 20–50 KB · JPG / JPEG

Your left thumb impression on white paper with black or blue ink.

Handwritten declaration

800 × 400 px (preferred) · 50–100 KB · JPG / JPEG

The declaration in English, written clearly on white paper with black ink, with your name and date of birth, not in capital letters.

Both advertisements also ask for a live photo during the application. This tool doesn't make the live photo: see the live photo section below.

Runs in your browser: your photos and scans are never uploaded.

What SBI asks for

Annexure II of the PO advertisement and Annexure-II of the Junior Associates advertisement give the same four upload rules, so the same files work for both forms. The table sums them up and the advertisements' own lines follow. Two things stand out: the pixel sizes are only "preferred", while the KB ranges are firm ("not more than 50kb" for the photo), and SBI's declaration has a blank for your date of birth as well as your name.

How to use the SBI resizer

  1. Choose your photo for card 1. For cards 2 to 4, take a straight scan or a daylight phone photo of your signature, your left thumb impression and your handwritten declaration, each on white paper.
  2. Frame each picture by dragging or zooming: your face in the middle of the photo, the ink filling most of the frame on the scans. Use Turn 90° for a sideways page, Make the background white if the wall behind you isn't light, and Whiten the paper if a scan looks grey.
  3. Download each file when its checklist is green: 200 × 230 px for the photo, 140 × 60 px for the signature, 240 × 240 px for the thumb and 800 × 400 px for the declaration, named sbi-photo-200x230.jpg, sbi-signature-140x60.jpg and so on.

Example: an SBI handwritten declaration from a phone photo

  • Handwritten declaration: a 6-megapixel phone picture of the paper, 2,880 × 2,160 px, opens as a 2,400 × 1,800 px copy; the frame at the notice's 800 × 400 px shape covers 2,400 × 1,200 px, drawn smaller, at 800 × 400 px. The JPEG is 51,200 to 100,000 bytes (50–100 KB) with 200 DPI, named sbi-declaration-800x400.jpg. Under 51,200 bytes at full quality, an invisible comment makes up the rest.

The JPEG quality it lands on depends on the picture itself.

Writing the SBI declaration

SBI's declaration asks for your date of birth as well as your name, and ends with a line saying the signature, photograph and thumb impression are yours. The PO advertisement's full text is quoted above, under the handwritten declaration: the first blank is your name and the second your date of birth. The Junior Associates advertisement starts “I,______(Name of the candidate), Date of Birth ______, hereby declare” and ends “The signature, photograph and left thumb impression is of mine”: the same meaning, set out a little differently, so copy the version printed for the post you're applying to. Write it in English, clearly, with black ink on plain white paper, and not in capital letters.

The file is 800 × 400 px at 200 DPI, which the advertisements give as 10 × 5 cm (width × height). A practical way to get that 2 : 1 shape without cropping your words: mark out an area about 10 cm wide and 5 cm tall on the sheet and write inside it. If the text doesn't fit, write smaller rather than spilling outside; the frame in card 4 shows what will be kept.

One heading, separate limits for each scan

In the Junior Associates advertisement the signature, thumb and declaration share one heading, “(ii) Signature, Left thumb impression and Hand-writing declaration Image:”, and the signature's lines (140 × 60 px, 10–20 KB) come first. Keep reading: the thumb (20–50 KB) and the declaration (50–100 KB) each have their own pixel and KB lines underneath. A thumb or declaration saved to the signature's limit would be too small, which is why this tool gives each upload its own card and its own checklist.

Both advertisements' scanning instructions ask for a scanner resolution of at least 200 dpi with colour set to true colour, saved as JPG or JPEG. A phone photo works too if it's sharp: lay the paper flat in daylight, hold the phone straight above it, and zoom into the result to check the ink before you use it here. The photo, thumb and declaration files from this page carry 200 DPI inside them.

The live photo in the SBI form

Both advertisements also ask for a live photo during the application. Capture Photo uses your computer's webcam; Click here to Scan shows a QR code that opens a page on your phone, and the picture uploads from there by itself. Stand against a light-coloured, preferably white background in good light and look straight at the camera; the PO advertisement adds that it should be passport size. Neither advertisement gives a pixel size or KB limit for it.

“In addition to the above photograph, candidates will also be required to capture and upload their live photograph either by using webcam or mobile phone.”

Keep your webcam or phone ready while you fill in the form. Stand where the light falls on your face, against the same plain, light wall as your uploaded photo, and take off coloured glasses and caps before you start.

Why SBI uploads get rejected

  • A signature in capital letters isn't accepted.
  • A handwritten declaration in capital letters isn't accepted.
  • If the signature you put on the call letter or attendance sheet at the exam doesn't match the uploaded one, you are disqualified.
  • Caps, hats and dark glasses in the photo aren't acceptable; religious headwear is allowed only if it doesn't cover your face.
  • For the live photo, both advertisements say no small photo, no coloured glasses or sunglasses and no cap. The PO advertisement also rules out a shadow on the face, a face turned away from the camera, a distorted or masked face, a blurred picture, and a dark or improper background.

How the tool reaches the KB range

Every SBI upload has a fixed pixel size, so the tool never changes the pixels. It draws your framed picture at that size and saves it as a JPEG at the highest quality that keeps the file under the maximum, narrowing the quality down step by step. A 140 × 60 px signature on clean paper can come out under 10 KB even at full quality; then the tool adds an invisible comment to the file until it passes the minimum, and the picture itself stays the same. The checklist on each card is read from the finished file: its pixels, its size in bytes, that it's a JPEG, and the DPI where SBI states one. For the same uploads in other bank forms, see the IBPS resizer; for a thumb impression or declaration alone, the Thumb Impression Resizer and Handwritten Declaration Resizer.

Check before you apply

  • The photo and signature sizes are marked "(preferred)" and the thumb and declaration sizes "(Preferred for required quality)". The KB ranges are the firm limits, so the tool keeps to those first and makes the preferred pixel size.
  • The photo's "(4.5 cm x 3.5 cm)" doesn't say which side is the width. Because 200 × 230 px is portrait, it's read as 3.5 cm wide and 4.5 cm tall; the tool makes 200 × 230 px and doesn't try to match the cm size.
  • In the Junior Associates advertisement the signature, thumb and declaration sit under one heading, with the signature's lines first. Each of the thumb and declaration still has its own pixel and KB lines, so don't apply the signature's limits to them.
  • The PO corrigendum of 1 July 2026 only removed the CIBIL clause and says all other terms are unchanged, so the upload rules stand.
  • The live photo has no official pixel or KB limits, so this tool doesn't make it: you take it in the form itself.
  • Check again when SBI posts its next PO or Junior Associates advertisement: the numbers could change from one cycle to the next.

Frequently asked questions

What is the SBI PO photo size in KB and pixels?

200 × 230 px (marked "preferred") and 20–50 KB, as a JPG or JPEG: a recent passport-style colour photo against a light-coloured, preferably white background. The advertisements also print "(4.5 cm x 3.5 cm)" without saying which side is the width, so make the pixel size and stay inside the KB range. SBI doesn't ask for your name or the date on the photo.

What is the SBI Clerk signature size?

140 × 60 px (preferred) and 10–20 KB, JPG or JPEG, for both the Junior Associates and the PO form. Sign on white paper with a black ink pen in your normal hand: SBI doesn't accept a signature in capital letters, and if your signature at the exam doesn't match the uploaded one, you are disqualified.

What size is the SBI left thumb impression?

240 × 240 px at 200 DPI, which the advertisement equates to 3 × 3 cm, and 20–50 KB, JPG or JPEG. Press your left thumb on white paper with black or blue ink. If you don't have a left thumb, SBI lets you use your right thumb.

What do I write in the SBI handwritten declaration?

The PO advertisement's text is: "I________(Name of the candidate), _______(Date of Birth) hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required. The signature, photograph and left-hand thumb impression is of mine". Write your name in the first blank and your date of birth in the second, in English, clearly, with black ink on white paper and not in capital letters. Upload it at 800 × 400 px and 50–100 KB.

Are the SBI PO and SBI Clerk upload rules the same?

Yes, for 2026-27. The PO advertisement dated 18 June 2026 and the Junior Associates advertisement dated 11 August 2026 give the same pixel sizes and KB ranges for all four uploads, so one set of files fits both forms. The declaration is worded a little differently, so copy the text from the advertisement for your post.

Does SBI also take a live photo?

Yes. Both forms ask you to capture a live photo with your webcam, or with your phone by scanning a QR code, as well as uploading your photo. Neither advertisement gives a pixel or KB limit for it, so it isn't a file you make here: take it in the form, against a light, preferably white background, in good light and facing the camera.
