Declaration sizes and wording by exam
Only some forms want the declaration as a picture of your handwriting; many just have a tick box. The forms below ask for an image, and each sets its own size and wording. Every row is as per that exam's notice, with its date; check the latest notice before you apply. Under the table are each exam's rules and the declaration text in the notice's own words.

How to use the declaration resizer
- Under Which form is it for?, choose your exam, or Another form to type the size and KB limits from your notice.
- Choose a scan or a straight phone photo of your written declaration. Drag or zoom until the text fills the frame with a little white around it, use Turn 90° if the page is sideways, and tap Whiten the paper if it looks grey.
- Download the file once the checklist is green. Switching to another exam keeps your picture, in case you are filling in more than one form.
Example: a IBPS declaration from a phone photo
- Handwritten declaration: a 6-megapixel phone picture of the paper, 2,880 × 2,160 px, opens as a 2,400 × 1,800 px copy; the frame at the notice's 800 × 400 px shape covers 2,400 × 1,200 px, drawn smaller, at 800 × 400 px. The JPEG is 51,200 to 100,000 bytes (50–100 KB) with 200 DPI, named ibps-declaration-800x400.jpg. Under 51,200 bytes at full quality, an invisible comment makes up the rest.
The JPEG quality it lands on depends on the picture itself.
Writing it so it scans well
IBPS, SBI and LIC all set the declaration at 800 × 400 px at 200 DPI, given as 10 × 5 cm (width × height). That is a wide, short block, not a full page. A practical way to fill it without tiny writing: write the text across the width of an unruled white sheet, in lines that run the whole width, so the block ends up about twice as wide as it is tall. Then crop to the text in the tool.
Copy the wording exactly from your notice and fill in every blank. Use your normal running hand rather than capitals, keep the lines straight, and leave a small margin so nothing touches the edge of the frame. Photograph or scan the sheet in good light; the bank notices ask for a scanner resolution of at least 200 dpi. IBPS lets candidates who can't write have the text typed and put their left thumb impression below it; LIC allows that only for visually impaired candidates who can't write. The rules under each exam above say what applies to you.
Forms that don't take a declaration upload
It's easy to make a declaration file you never needed. NEET (UG) and GATE have no declaration upload: you accept an online declaration in the form before you submit (as per the NEET (UG) 2026 Information Bulletin (revised PDF) dated 23 February 2026 and the GATE 2027 Information Brochure (revised version) dated 27 September 2026). RRB has no upload either, but you write the declaration by hand at the exam centre, where the notice says you must:
“write the paragraph of Self-Declaration, sign and affix LTI”
RRB does that in front of the invigilator, and rejects candidates who wrote the paragraph in advance or signed in capital letters. For the exams' other uploads, see the NEET and GATE resizers.
How the tool reaches the KB range
With an exact pixel size, as in the bank and insurance notices, the tool draws your framed declaration at that size and saves it as a JPEG at the highest quality that stays under the maximum. Handwriting on white paper has a lot of plain white, so if the file is still below the minimum at full quality, an invisible comment is added to the file until it reaches the minimum; the picture itself is unchanged. With only a file size, your own crop is kept and shrunk only if it won't fit. The checklist is read from the finished file, with the DPI where the notice states one. For a thumb impression on its own, use the Thumb Impression Resizer.
