Office files keep their fonts, tables and pictures only when converted by LibreOffice, the open-source office suite, which needs a server. Rather than produce a poor copy, the converter says so and points you to the right option. HEIC photos work in browsers that can read them, which today means Safari.
Example: PDF to PNG
A two-page A4 PDF (595 ร 842 points) converted to PNG gives a ZIP with two images of 1239 ร 1754 pixels each. Pages are drawn at 150 dots per inch: 595 ร 150 รท 72 = 1239.6, rounded down, and 842 ร 150 รท 72 = 1754.2. A one-page PDF downloads as a single image instead of a ZIP.
More control
Each conversion has its own page with more options: choose pages and quality in PDF to Image, page size and order in JPG to PDF, one sheet per page in PDF to Excel, or pictures-only slides in PDF to PowerPoint. To make a PDF smaller for an upload form, use Compress PDF to size.
